Wichita, KS - From managing health care costs to the immigration coalition, Amy Blankenbiller, new president of the Kansas Chamber, will give community and business leaders updates on the Kansas Chamber’s efforts to reduce the cost of doing business in Kansas.
Blankenbiller will be the featured speaker at the Wichita Metro Chamber Chairman’s Breakfast, Thursday, Feb. 7.
Blankenbiller has guided, managed and lead dynamic lobbying efforts throughout her career and now serves as a strategic partner with local chambers in working for Kansas business. She and her team at the Kansas Chamber are critical and powerful advocates for pressing issues and pro-business legislation that shape our region.
A Kansas native, Amy Blankenbiller joined the Kansas Chamber as president & CEO in July 2007 after serving as a senior associate with the privately owned governmental consulting firm, Waterman & Associates, in Washington, D.C for more than 10 years.
She has also worked as the Legislative Director for Environmental Policy for the National Association of Homebuilders, received an appointment from President George H.W. Bush as a congressional liaison at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and worked on Capitol Hill as a staff assistant to former Kansas Representative Bob Whittaker and a legislative intern to Senator Bob Dole.
