Chamber accepting nominees for Leadership Wichita program

Wichita, Kan. – We all know at least one inspiring, engaging or up-and-coming leader in this community, and Leadership Wichita is seeking your help in identifying candidates for its 2006 class.

The Wichita Chamber of Commerce is now accepting nominations for Leadership Wichita 2006, a program of the Wichita Metro Chamber. Nominees should demonstrate current leadership and community involvement or possess the potential and desire to be personally engaged.

Nominations will be accepted until June 16. Nomination forms can be filled out online at www.wichitachamber.org/leadershipforms, or you can contact the Wichita Metro Chamber at 268-1116 for more information.

"This top-notch program is designed to call each graduate to a new community leadership role," says Caroline Williams of Westar Energy and Chair of the Leadership Board of Trustees. "It's designed to help then engage in community involvement and inspire them to get involved in what they are passionate about."

Since 1983, Leadership Wichita has graduated nearly 500 alumni with a mission to identify, inform and inspire current and future leaders through a series of dynamic sessions and activities.

The 2006 Leadership Wichita participants will attend 8 full-day sessions covering a variety of current topics that are led by high-profile community leaders.
