2016 Speaker and Host Location RFPs

We are currently in the process of planning our 2016 events and need qualified individuals to present educational and entertaining programs.

If you are an expert in your field, enjoy interacting with business professionals, and are a Chamber member, we encourage you to fill out and submit the 2016 Speaker RFP by Friday, Oct. 30.

Selected speakers will be responsible for the following:

  • Belong to an organization who is a member of the Wichita Metro Chamber of Commerce, in good standing
  • Have competencies in high-quality, educational presentations and workshop facilitation tailored to audience
  • If applicable, engage attendees with a short 5-minute group activity as well as audience participation and discussion
  • Provide practical learning/tips that audience members can employ in their business
  • Arrive to presentation 15-minutes early to check technology setup and room layout
  • Provide an opportunity to respond to questions and network with attendees post-event
  • Coordinate with staff regarding any special equipment or speaker needs
  • Ensure the session is not perceived as an infomercial
  • Complete the Speaker Request for Proposal form in order to be eligible.

We are also seeking companies who are interested in showcasing their space to the business community. Opportunities to host upcoming events and programming enable a company to further build their brand image, while interacting with 100-plus business leaders. Applicants may be selected for multiple events including: Sunrise Scramblers, Seminars, CEO Roundtables, Small Business Awards, Exposure Training Sessions, Metro Mingles, etc.

If your company would like to get in front of Wichita's business leaders, please fill out and submit the 2016 Host Location RFP by Friday, Oct. 30.

Selected locations will be responsible for the following:

  • Be a member of the Wichita Metro Chamber of Commerce, in good standing
  • Provide tasteful and appropriate space to accommodate business professionals for a sit-down educational program in one continuous area conducive to business networking that is secluded from outside traffic interruptions
  • Provide food and table service including linens and centerpieces
  • Provide a designated area where presenters are visible to attendees, and provide for audiovisual requirements {Podium, Microphone, Screen, Projector, Laptop/Clicker, Speakers}
  • If your company is unable to provide the food, table service or audio visual requirement, your company has the option to solicit other Chamber members to secure these sponsors for the event.

The Chamber will provide the following host sponsorship benefits:

  • Opportunity to showcase your facility to business professionals in attendance
  • Recognition by emcee at each sponsored event
  • Provide an opportunity for company representative to make an announcement
  • Company name/logo recognition on event program (if applicable)
  • Company name recognition on e-Vite and eSynergy Chamber promotions
  • Recognition in advance publicity including web site promotion and Chamber web site calendar of events and online registration section
  • Opportunity to provide door prize (exclusively to sponsors)
  • Receive complimentary registrations for your key staff to the event (number negotiated with Chamber staff)
