Committee Opportunities

Contacts Clubs
Meets bi-weekly over the lunch hour to exchange leads and referrals. Groups are comprised of non-competing Chamber member businesses. There is an application process, as well as attendance and participation guidelines that apply. If you are interested in joining a Contacts Club, please contact Kresta Dundas.

Chamber Champions on Member Relations 
For Chamber members that have been active for a minimum of six (6) months and represents the Chamber at ribbon cuttings, ground breakings, grand openings and other Chamber member events. This group also meets monthly to discuss upcoming events and for networking. If you are interested in joining this committee, please contact Nicole Robinson.

Chamber Champions on Member Retention
Meets monthly and assists Chamber staff by contacting current members and gain commitment on continued Chamber membership renewal. If you are interested in joining this committee, please contact Nicole Robinson

Membership Campaign Volunteer
Identifies area businesses that would benefit from Chamber membership and sells memberships to those companies. If you are interested in joining this committee, please contact Kresta Dundas.

Exposure Committee
Meets to plan Wichita's largest business networking and expo event, which allow companies the opportunity to showcase their products and gain new customers. If you are interested in joining this committee, please contact Angie Elliott.

Golf Tournament Committee
Meets to plan the annual Chamber golf tournament. This group also executes the Chamber’s spring golf outing.

Government Relations Committee
Monitors federal actions that affect business. Monitors the activities of city and county governments. Serves as a liaison between local military organizations and the Chamber. If you are interested in joining this committee, please contact Barby Jobe.

Environmental Alliance 
The mission of the Environmental Alliance is to promote the sustainability of Wichita's natural environment by facilitating collaboration and integrated solutions among individuals and organizations, as well as to serve as a resource, catalyst and advocate for environmental, economic, and social sustainability. Business and Education Alliance
The Business and Education Alliance (BEA) is comprised of business champions, public school districts, private school systems, nonprofits with an educational mission, as well as metro area colleges and universities. Tier mission is to align the education and business communities to ensure a productive workforce needed for sustained economic growth in our region. Current areas of focus include: High School Graduation Rates; Workforce Assessments; Public Policy; Degree and Certificate Attainment; Customized Workforce Training Programs; Talent Recruitment; and GED completion Rates. Health Alliance
The Health Alliance convenes, catalyzes and collaborates to support programs, strategies and evaluation efforts that influence policy, environment, and systems for the health of all individuals in the Wichita MSA. As a community health improvement planning group, it seeks to achieve measurable outcomes for five health priorities: mental health, oral health, obesity and diabetes, access and health disparities. Tech Alliance
The Mission of the Tech Alliance is to convene dedicated industry and education leaders to grow and sustain a robust technology and entrepreneurship ecosystem in our region. Its role is to connect, convene, promote, and "spin the flywheel" by breaking down barriers and identifying opportunities in the vision of diversifying our economy. If you are interested in joining this committee, please contact Suzy Finn.

Young Professionals of Wichita (YPW)
YPW has created Action Teams charged with implementing specific goals and strategies as designated by the YPW Board of Trustees. They are the creative force behind events, services and programs. Each team meets monthly, or as needed. YPW requires a separate membership. If you are a current Chamber member, the dues are $50 per person. For Non-Chamber members, the cost is $150 per person. If you are interested in becoming involved with YPW, please contact Suzy Finn.

Spouse Career Network 
Spouse Career Network connects Chamber member spouses’ resumes with local employment opportunities and is FREE for both spouses and employers looking to hire. If you are interested in becoming involved with the Spouse Career Network, contact Jan Baggett.

With such a wide variety of Chamber sponsorships, it couldn’t be easier to get exposure for your business! Sponsor an event, a committee or program and you will quickly be on your way to establishing solid name recognition for your business. Create even more awareness about your business and place an ad in our printed newsletter, Synergy, or the online newsletter, eSynergy. Banner ads on the Chamber website are also a great tool for creating name recognition.
