The Wichita Regional Chamber of Commerce joined with the Kansas Chamber for the annual Kansas Congressional Fly-In, a cornerstone of the Chamber’s advocacy efforts to ensure Wichita’s business community is heard at the federal level.
Now in its fifth year for the Chamber, this trip provides business and community leaders with direct access to elected officials in Washington, D.C.
“This is a powerful example of how the Wichita business community’s voice is amplified when we unite as one for Kansas businesses,” said John Rolfe, President and CEO of the Wichita Chamber. “Meeting directly with our federal delegation allows us to advocate for policies that impact our economy, workforce and quality of life.

Policy Briefings & Issue Sessions
Beyond delegation meetings, attendees engaged in focused sessions with national experts and interest groups on a wide range of pressing issues:
- Regulatory costs and the burden on businesses

- An inside look at D.C. politics, offering perspective on how federal priorities are shaped
Advocacy That Works
The Kansas Congressional Fly-In is more than just a trip, it’s a vital extension of the Chamber’s advocacy strategic priority. Just as the Chamber advocates at the local and state levels, this annual trip to Washington, D.C. ensures Wichita businesses are represented where federal decisions are made.
By working side by side with the Kansas Chamber, and by presenting a unified front to our federal delegation, the Chamber strengthens its ability to secure policies that create growth, reduce barriers and expand opportunities for Wichita and Kansas. By building relationships and addressing issues at every level of government, we ensure that Wichita’s business community is positioned to thrive in a competitive national and global economy.
