By Design: Cost of Doing Business
Supplier diversity is a national best practice when discussing how business ecosystems can be more inclusive. The topic has grown in popularity recently as Covid-19 recovery processes and thus funds have seemingly left out minority business owners. By Design is a Wichita Regional Chamber program, in partnership with other local minority business serving organizations, that focuses on educating minority vendors on how to be better equipped to compete for local and national contracts and have a better understanding of general business practices.
This session will focus on the following topics:
My Business, My Responsibility: What financial information do you need to know to be sustainable and successful? Where can you find this information?
Relationship Banking: Why having a banking relationship is important; Learning the importance of business credit, loans and understanding access to capital
Darrius Wright of Kansas Business Services, LLC is the lead presenter for this session that includes a panel conversation featuring:
- Dioane Gates, Owner, Clean Livin' Inc.
- Robin Needham, SVP and SBA Lending Specialist, Emprise Bank
- Karlee Canaday, Attorney, Martin Pringle
- Cathy Mitchell, VP of Tax Services, AGH
