NexUS Health Plans
Health insurance coverage is one of the most important benefits businesses can offer when recruiting and retaining talent. We are pleased to offer a new health insurance option for our Chamber members with an employee base of 2-500. As a benefit of their Chamber membership, our members now receive preferred pricing for their group health coverage under the NexUS Health Plan - a 5% discount on premiums.
What makes NexUS different?
- Level-funded major medical plan designs
- Underwritten by “A” rated carriers
- Member savings averaging 5-15% in most cases
- Integrated wellness incentives and cash-rewards
- Value-based payment model that ties physician payment to outcomes
The COVID-19 pandemic has presented employers with a myriad of challenges and opportunities. During this extraordinary time, the Chamber is pleased to partner with NexUS and USI Insurance Services, the consulting broker for NexUS, to make ThinkHR available to all Wichita Chamber members on a complimentary basis for 120 days.
Members can sign up for ThinkHR by completing the online registration form. The ThinkHR team will establish your organization’s profile and send a Welcome email message. Once the profile is activated, members should log in at http://usi.myhrworkplace.com and can use the following tutorials to navigate the platform. What does Level Funded mean?
Level funded plans (also known as partially self-funded plans) are generally less risky than self-funded plans. And they usually offer three primary benefits for your business: the potential for cost savings, more opportunities for plan customization and fewer regulations. Level-funded plans are underwritten; health applications or two years of claims history are required.
Is Chamber membership required to enroll?
The NexUS program is available to all Wichita area employers (located in Sedgwick, Butler, Harvey, Reno, Kingman, Sumner and Cowley counties). However, Wichita Chamber members receive preferred pricing for their group health coverage as a benefit of their membership --a 5% discount on premiums. NexUS will confirm that employers are Wichita Chamber members in good standing prior to completing enrollment and renewal.
I am an insurance agent or broker and would like to enroll my clients in the Chamber’s NexUS program. Is Chamber membership required to sell the NexUS program?
Yes. Brokers and agents must be Wichita Chamber members to enroll employers in the Wichita Chamber NexUS program.
Does the NexUS program include minimum or maximium employee requirements for enrollment?
Yes. The NexUS program can accommodate organizations with 2-500 employees.
My employees travel for work. Does the NexUS program provide coverage beyond the Wichita area?
Yes, NexUS utilizes the ProviDRsCare network, which includes the vast majority of physicians within the state of Kansas. The NexUS program also includes a national “wrap” network to provide coverage out of state.
