Wichita Regional Chamber PAC

Helping Elect Business-Friendly Candidates for the Wichita Region

Pro-Business is Pro-Community

The Wichita Regional Chamber Political Action Committee promotes commerce and industry, advances economic growth and enhances the quality of life in the region by supporting candidates and issues at the local, regional and state levels that reflect the goals and objectives of the Wichita Regional Chamber of Commerce and its members.

Our community is directly impacted by the quality of individuals leading our city, county and region in elected office. WRCPAC has the opportunity to influence the local election process through candidate support. That is why the WRCPAC plans to actively endorse and fund local candidates with a strong vision and demonstrated strategies for creating a prosperous business community.

Our Goal

The goal of our endorsement process is to support candidates who share the core values of the Chamber and WRCPAC, including limited government and government reform. The PAC’s funds will be used to ensure candidates whose priorities align with the WRCPAC’s vision to maintain and expand free enterprise, promote commerce and industry and advance economic growth are elected to local public office.

How We Evaluate

Effectiveness of elected officials will be evaluated via the above criteria and an issues scorecard. The Wichita Regional Chamber PAC will regularly communicate a list of issues and expectations to elected officials and will monitor issue-related votes.

We Have a Mandate from Our Members

Through the Chamber’s 2024-2026 strategic plan, the Government Relations Committee and the WRCPAC have been given a mandate to expand the Chamber’s influence in all levels of government. Among the strategies identified is to support the election of pro-business candidates for public office. As part of the strategic plan, the Board has approved a new success statement for the Government Relations Committee - The Chamber is a highly respected business advocacy organization achieving measurable outcomes on policy issues. A diverse cross section of members are informed and actively involved in advocacy efforts, which is the result of trust in a process that creates high value for Chamber membership.

Note: It is important to note that Chamber membership funds or general funds ARE NOT used for contributions to candidates.
