Please tell us a little bit about your company.
Transworld Business Advisors is the world leader – and Wichita leader – in the marketing and sales of businesses and franchises. Transworld offers the professional services that confidentially bring buyers and seller together. I founded Transworld in Wichita in 2013, and it has grown to become the prominent business brokerage in Wichita.

Why did you join the Chamber and what do you find most valuable about Chamber membership?
I joined the Chamber to capitalize on and contribute to the value and sustainability of the business community in Wichita and the surrounding area. The value of the personal and professional relationships cultivated through the wide variety of opportunities presented by the Chamber have been a key driver in the success of Transworld in Wichita.

What is the best thing about working with businesses in the Wichita area?
Wichita business owners and decision makers are loyal to those who contribute to the community and to each other. Ethical and honest hard work is rewarded.

Describe a recent success story.
Transworld Business Advisors of Wichita has brokered the sale of 16 Wichita businesses in the last 17 months – terrific success!

To what do you attribute your success?
We strive to be honest, transparent and diligent in all of our business relationships. Providing good news with a smile and less-than-good news with honesty is a combination that is appreciated by sellers and buyers alike. We love to do good deals for good people. We do everything possible to set realistic expectations and follow through on commitments.

Do you have an upcoming event/program or product launch that might interest our members?
We will be conducting a seminar in August titled “Basics of Selling/Buying a Small Business.” Contact me to RSVP!

What is your favorite Chamber event, program, or service and why?
The Small Business Owner Roundtables are the best opportunity for Transworld to develop relationships with business owners and share our story.

What is something people may not know about you or your organization?
We represent over 300 franchises, all of which have been completely qualified as legally recognized franchises. There are far more franchise opportunities in far more markets/products/services than most people ever know.

What has Chamber membership brought to you and your organization?
Membership has brought us recognition, visibility, credibility and respect. These cannot be purchased – they must be earned through relationships that can only be built through the opportunities provided by the Chamber.

Where do you see your organization in five years?
We will still be in Wichita working with the terrific small business owners in this community to assist them in getting the absolute best exit from their business.

What about your organization are you most passionate?
It is absolutely thrilling to see the results of a successful small business sale. We see a buyer who is capitalizing on years of hard work and also seeing that their enterprise is being passed to a new and excited owner. We also see that new owner who is incredibly happy and excited by their new venture. When we can create this outcome, it is a great success for all.

On a scale of 1 to 10, how strongly would you recommend Chamber membership to a colleague?
For any B2B business, it is a strong 10. Long term, sustained success is simply not possible without being involved in the most important business association in Wichita.

Favorite business app?
Buffer – Social media is so very important and can be very time consuming. Buffer turns a task that used to be incredibly time consuming into an afterthought.

Favorite business book?
King Icahn -- We work on relatively small deals every day. It is exciting and inspiring to imagine ourselves in the world of HUGE deals!
