The Wichita Regional Chamber of Commerce Political Action Committee (PAC) has voted to endorse Wichita Mayor Jeff Longwell in this year's mayoral election. Chamber PAC Chairman Frank Suellentrop (Chairman of Legacy Bank) said, "The trajectory of our business community and our region are directly impacted by local elections, so we take these races very seriously. After careful deliberation we voted to endorse the re-election of Mayor Jeff Longwell based on his longstanding support of Chamber positions. Over his four years as Mayor, Longwell has applied a pro-business mindset to his work and backed the Chamber's efforts on talent retention and quality of place initiatives. We also appreciate the role he has played in the increased momentum and community pride that is apparent throughout the city. He has clearly earned a second term."
All Mayoral candidates were invited to provide answers to a Chamber questionnaire to assist voters in making informed decisions. Click here to read the unedited responses from eight of the nine candidates.
