Logo Depot employees have been active Chamber members since the business joined in 2017, participating in numerous events and championing the Chamber’s Wichita flag/#ILoveWichita initiative.

Tell us about Logo Depot.
Founded in 1938 we specialize in the presentation of Company brands. We sell and decorate all types of workwear, casual, sport and dress apparel with embroidery, screen printing, and various types of printed vinyl and wide format graphic applications all done in house. We are distributors of virtually any type of promotional product and we now offer large format printing in house that consists of decals, stickers, stand-up banners, vinyl banners, wall, window, and yard signage.

The Logo Depot team presented the Chamber with this giant Wichita flag to use for promoting Wichita. Why did you join the Chamber?
We joined the Chamber because we are proud of Wichita and want to continue to be in the center of the City's growth. We are a business to business company so being a Chamber member is a perfect match for us.

What is the best thing about working with business in the Wichita area?
Customer loyalty! In this business climate, everything is urgent and is usually deadline critical. We have proven to our customers for many years that we can meet their expectations with service, turn time and quality products. We have many long-time customers because in the Midwest loyalty still matters.

Describe a recent success/win.
FREE T-SHIRT FRIDAY! I started free t-shirt Friday (FTF) as a marketing campaign about 6 months ago out of the back of my car with just 3 tubs of Wichita Flag t-shirt and an idea. The idea was to promote Wichita Pride along with promoting Logo Depot. Well, the idea blew up fast! Now FTF usually takes about 4-5 employees, 6-8 tables of shirts and several hours to pull off. We now have a long list of organizations and customers that have requested us to come out for FTF at their locations to help promote their business or organization. We have recently started partnering with non-profits like Habitat for Humanity and The Kansas Food Bank to help bring some exposure to their organizations.

Logo Depot created these Wichita flag glasses for Open Streets ICT 2019.Why are you so successful?
First and foremost my success starts with having a great team behind me. I am obsessed with the customer service side of sales. The customer service team led by Kim Nivens at Logo Depot is the best in the business. The creativity and speed that comes from our graphic artist Colby Newman is an ace up my sleeve when talking to customers. Our production team is led by Darren Turner and they always make me look good when we deliver jobs to our customers early.

What is your favorite Chamber event, program or service and why?
Without question being a Chamber Champion member is my favorite part of the Chamber. I LOVE promoting the ICT and the Chamber Champions group gives me the chance to promote our city and local business every week!

What is something people may not know about you or your organization?
People may not know that I am also an auctioneer and I specialize in Charity Auctions. I have helped raise millions and millions of dollars on the auction block for local charities over the past 15 years. I love the ICT and this is one of the ways I can give back to this community.

What has the Chamber membership brought to you and your organization?
Connections, connections, and connections. I meet someone new at almost every event. When you're in sales, meeting new people is essential to success.

Where do you see your organization in the next five years?
In five years, Logo Depot will expand our screen printing and large format printing divisions to include more diverse product offerings with greater large format printing and vehicle wrapping services. This form of the print medium is the fastest-growing segment in our industry and being able to deliver what our clients expect is very important to us. Dunk Time! Logo Depot brought a dunk tank to Exposure 2019 for part of their booth.

What about your organization are you most passionate?
I am also very passionate about the marketing side of sales. I am out and about 7 days a week marketing and promoting Logo Depot. I know for sure that with great marketing comes great growth for myself and Logo Depot.

On a scale of 1-10, how strongly would you recommend Chamber membership to a colleague?
I promote the Chamber all the time so I would have to say a 10. I truly believe you get out of it what you put in. The Chamber has given me the opportunity to grow my business through many events and training sessions.

Favorite business app?
Hands down, it's Facebook! Facebook is the largest and easiest platform to reach the most potential new customers for the least amount of spend. My ROI is amazing.

Favorite business book or Ted Talk?
Jeff Johnson, the owner of Logo Depot turned me on to They Ask, You Answer by Marcus Sheridan. It’s an eye-opening short story of how one guy turned around a pool company in Richmond Virginia. He's humble and offers all of his "expertise" in the book. It is an inspiring and quick read.

Other Chamber members you have partnered/worked with?
I have run into many of my customers at Chamber events like Wichita Baseball, CUA, Hexcode Designs, CML Collective, Jenny Dawn Cellars and Habitat for Humanity just to name a few.

Is there anything else you would like to include?
The owner of Logo Depot, Jeff Johnson is big on quotes. He has a plaque hanging in his office with the quote: "Status Quo" is the killer of all that would be invented. Don't get stuck in the "Status Quo."  This is one of my favorite things about working for Jeff because he truly believes this. I am constantly coming up with new ideas for marketing and he has never told me "no!"
