Please tell us a little bit about your company.
Founded in 1975, Thrasher helps homeowners preserve and improve the value of their homes using proven basement waterproofing and structural repair solutions, and now with concrete leveling solutions as well. All services come with industry-leading products, installation techniques, and warranties.
We saw a need to help homeowners in the Wichita market and currently have 53 employees in our office here, with over 400 employees throughout the company.  In addition to Wichita, Thrasher has offices in Nebraska (Omaha and Grand Island), Missouri (Kansas City,) and Iowa (Des Moines and Sioux City.)

Why did you join the Chamber and what do you find most valuable about Chamber membership?
We joined the Chamber to make connections with other businesses in the community and to build the Thrasher brand within the community.

What is the best thing about doing business in the Wichita area?
The best thing about doing business in the Wichita area is the people. We have great employees that work for us and are able to help our fellow homeowners in the area.

To what do you attribute your success?
Our success here can be attributed to great people and an awesome community.

What is something people may not know about you or your business?
People may not know that we provide commercial solutions as well as residential, anything from apartment buildings to grain bins to roads and bridges.

What differentiates your business from your competitors?
Our purpose is to redefine our industry, and by that we mean that we set a high bar for an exceptional customer experience. We care for and strive to build long-term relationships with our customers and we stand behind our solutions. We’d like to redefine the customer experience of working with all contractors.

What has Chamber membership brought to you and your business?
The Chamber has helped us with getting the Thrasher name and business known in the community. We have only been in the area for two years as Thrasher (formerly Kansas Basement and Foundation Repair) and the Chamber has helped us reach the community.

What has been your favorite business book?
There are too many to name, but my latest favorite is The Five Dysfunctions of a Team by Patrick Lencioni.

Is your company involved in any community/civic activities?
One of our company’s values is “one community,” returning the blessings we’ve been given. As a company, we participate in various non-profit and community activities in the communities where we live, and recently “adopted” four kids for Christmas from the Wichita Children’s Home.
