Lauren Poorman has been named the Government Relations Coordinator for the Wichita Regional Chamber of Commerce. Her first day in her full time position was February 3. Poorman had been working in a temporary part-time capacity for the department for several months. A graduate of Kansas State University, Poorman earned a BBA in Marketing last year. She also completed a marketing internship in Manhattan, Kansas, that involved execution of promotional campaigns.
In her role with the Chamber’s Government Relations department she will be organizing and managing special events throughout the year that provide Chamber members with access to elected officials and government leaders.
Elise Trout has joined the Chamber as the Membership Account Executive. Her first day was February 17. Trout will utilize her experience in customer service and sales to generate leads, develop prospects and recruit new Chamber members.
Gary Plummer, Chamber CEO and President said, “These positions are critical for the Chamber as we execute the goals of our strategic plan and expand our organization’s influence by expanding our membership and increasing their engagement.”
