Funding Tool Videos Added to Wichita Resource Center

Posted by: Angie Prather on Monday, April 13, 2020

Last week we added two video interviews to our Wichita Resource Center on COVID-19 to inform our members about several of the local financial resources that are available for area nonprofits and individuals impacted by the current circumstances. While there's a great deal of emphasis on federal and state funding programs, these funding mechanisms were developed by local business leaders and are funded by area companies and individuals specifically for our community.

Wichita Community Foundation
On Wednesday, April 8, Shelly Prichard and James Woods from the Wichita Community Foundation provided us more information about two funding mechanisms they are using to assist Wichitans. Learn more about how the application process works by viewing the video on one of these platforms.

EMERGENCY FUND (organizational emergency relief assistance to nonprofit organizations)

The donation link for both of these funds can be found here.

Thousands of restaurant and hospitality employees in Wichita have been impacted by the loss of work as a result of closures from the COVID-10 pandemic. The goal of ICTBarRescue.com is to provide grants of up to $500 to as many qualifying people as possible. On April 9, Jen Ray of The Monarch and Jeff Breault of R&J Discount Liquor provided us with an update about the funds they've collected and distributed through this local effort to help Wichita workers. Watch their video on one of these platforms.

To Donate or Apply:
ICT BAR RESCUE  (supports Wichita area employees)
RESTAURANT EMPLOYEE RELIEF FUND (supports employees nationwide)

These area leaders are working diligently to keep our business ecosystem strong and we're appreciative of all that they're doing to boost recovery efforts.
