Ready to roll up your sleeves and dive into some game-changing community issues? Young professionals, area leaders and community influencers are invited to attend Energize Wichita, a new program launched this year to provide learning experiences and discussions about transformational issues and community advancement.
Energize Wichita will be enhanced this fall with components from another popular Chamber program, the annual City to City Leadership Visit. Two Energize Wichita webinars will be held in November. Both sessions include keynote speakers as well as panelists from one of Wichita's peer cities, Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Panelists – Jeff Fluhr (Greater Wichita Partnership), Devon Laney (36 Degrees North), Michael Neal (Tulsa Chamber of Commerce) and Andrew Wiens (Wichita Regional Chamber of Commerce)
Keynote Speaker – Josh Miller, Program Officer (Georgia Kaiser Family Foundation)
Moderator – Ben Hutton (Hutton)
Panelists – Darryl Kelly (Credit Union of America), Brian Kurk (Tulsa Downtown Coordinating Council), Andrea Pemberton (TyPros), Susie Santo (Visit Wichita)
Chamber President and CEO Gary Plummer noted, "We've had to cancel our 2020 City to City Leadership Visit to Tulsa due to COVID-19 concerns. These two webinars allow us to be much more inclusive in learning best practices from experts in our region. We won't have to limit participation since the event will be virtual and the generous sponsorship from Evergy means the registration cost is much lower than the registration for our normal City to City Leadership Visit. This is a unique opportunity to engage more people in learning and leaning in to needed enhancements for our community."
The cost of each session is $25. Participants may register on the Chamber website for one or both events under wichitachamber.org/events. Energize Wichita is sponsored by Evergy and managed by Tram Ngo, Manager of Community Advancement (316-268-1152).
