Chair’s Kickoff will feature John Mackey

Ben Hutton, CEO of Hutton and 2021 Chamber Chair, has secured John Mackey as the speaker for the February 11 Chamber Chair’s Kickoff event. The Co-Founder and CEO of Whole Foods Market, Mackey is a well-known leader in the conscious capitalism movement and the author of several books, including Conscious Leadership.

Hutton believes there has never been a greater need for the Chamber and the community to hear Mackey’s message. “The events of the last twelve months have made it clear that it’s time for our community to shed conventional wisdom and create new opportunities. I’ve followed Mackey for a while and his compelling ideas about value-based leadership will help set the stage for our community’s 2021 initiatives. He’ll inspire us to think and act differently, which is imperative for the success of our region.”

Formerly an annual luncheon event, this year’s presentation will be virtual due to COVID-19 gathering restrictions. Scheduled from 8:30-9:30 a.m., the online event is open to the public and registration can be found at wichitachamber.org/events/. The cost is $15 for members and $25 for non-members.
