Carl Bowden, Exemplify Founder and Leadership Coach, joined the Chamber earlier this year. He’s already participated in a special Chamber event designed to help new members maximize their investment and network with others who have recently joined. Bowden is looking forward to participating in some of the unique leadership opportunities offered to Chamber members.

Please tell us a little bit about your business.
Exemplify is an independent leadership coaching and consulting company committed to developing leaders to create positive outcomes by example in authenticity, positivity, and service. As the Founder, I’m committed to the success of my clients in strategically planning out their goals, realizing their potential, and making them aware of all the possibilities within their organization. I provide one-on-one coaching, small team coaching, leadership courses, and services to businesses, community groups, and individuals across Wichita and the surrounding areas.

What do you find most valuable about Chamber membership?
Being a member of the Chamber gives me opportunities to connect with some of the top business leaders in the region! The networking and connections are invaluable! The guidance and mentorship that I have received in my first months of being a member have greatly impacted my business.

To what do you attribute your success?
I attribute my success to God and all the people that have made me who I am today. My family, friends, and colleagues have shaped me to become the person I was meant to be while living out my purpose in life. I am eternally grateful for the guidance and leadership I have had the privilege of being a part of. The people that always believed in me and told me to never give up, the ones that helped me discover who I am, and those who have given me more than I deserve. 

Where do you see your company in five years?
I see Exemplify impacting businesses, communities, and individuals to help them reach their goals and aspirations across the Wichita community and build the strongest business center in the state of Kansas. Over the next five years, Exemplify will have multiplied its positive influence to help instill leadership values among our local community leaders. My plan is to eventually expand beyond the Wichita community and start making greater impact across the nation as well as in other countries seeking leadership development for their people.

What differentiates you from others who provide similar services?
My background is in conservation biology, government, and religion. I have been a Christian my entire life. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Conservation Biology from Kansas State University and I’m working toward a Master of Business Administration from Wichita State University. I’ve been involved in student government and I want to make a positive change in our political climate. I believe these three areas of focus help me to specialize in accelerating the good my clients seek to make in their communities. I also make a point to help others discover the potential within themselves rather than telling them how to run the business that they know best. I believe serving others to guide them to be authentic in who they are and assist them in leading their lives is where I can help deliver positive results.

What has Chamber membership brought to you and your organization?
It has brought me connections to the Wichita community and helped others discover leadership development opportunities within their local area. The Chamber has given me an inner circle of top business professionals to help guide me in growing to become the top leadership development company in the area. I value the professional development opportunities provided by the Chamber and seek to do the same for others.

What about your organization are you most passionate?
I am most passionate about delivering results to my clients and helping them realize the potential they have to make a difference. Giving others life and helping them realize that they are willing and capable to achieve anything they set their mind to is where I receive the most joy. Walking with others to help guide and lead them through their goals is where I believe greatness can start to happen. I am confident that my clients can achieve what they set out to accomplish and I make a point to be with them on their journey.

I utilize my website (www.exemplifyleadership.com) as well as Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram.  My followers will find leadership coaching services, inspiring stories and ways to contact me on these channels. I’m always here to listen and guide others in reaching their full potential.
