Please tell us a little bit about your business.

Write On Fundraising provides fresh fundraising solutions for high-impact nonprofits through grant writing, individual giving, and capital campaign services. We primarily help organizations that are in “capacity-building mode,” meaning they are responding to a new threat or opportunity where fundraising has become central to the conversation. They need someone to jump in, help them sustainably meet their goals, and then get out of their way. That’s exactly what we do.

Describe your company's most recent success.

This year, Write On successfully expanded into three additional markets - one of which is Wichita! We’ve enjoyed getting to meet with many so many passionate community leaders who have dedicated their lives to making Wichita an amazing place to live and can’t wait to help support their work.

What aspect of your organization are you most passionate about?

Our team is most passionate about bringing philanthropic equity to the nonprofit sector. For us, this means knocking down arbitrary barriers and providing access to all sources of funding available so that nonprofits - no matter their size or mission - have the same opportunities to win funding as large, national institutions.

What differentiates your business from your competitors?

Write On Fundraising is different from its competitors in that we’re here when you need us and gone when you don’t. We aren’t consultants; we’re fundraisers. In addition to actually being the folks who get out and raise money for nonprofits, we also build comprehensive fundraising programs that provide needed cash flow and long-term major investments to move missions forward.

What is your favorite Chamber event, program, or service?

As new members, our favorite Chamber event has been Cultivate Conversations. We met a few really interesting chamber members and board volunteers. We found great value in the meeting and highly recommend it to other new chamber members!

What is the best thing about doing business in Wichita?

Being closer to home! Although I live in Tulsa, Oklahoma where Write On is headquartered, I’m actually from Salina, Kansas, and I love to get back into wheat and sunflower fields. Wichita always feels like being around extended family to me, and I love being close to this community.

What is your favorite business app and why?

I rely pretty heavily on Google Workspace. Write On was built as a remote company - our talented team members span the U.S., as do our clients. We’re also part of the gig economy, meaning that we attract talented fundraising professionals who sometimes need more flexible schedules - the ability to work on a grant after the kids have been put to bed, for example. The level of professional autonomy that we afford our team members requires sophisticated tech solutions. Google Workspace allows us to collaborate from literally anyplace with an internet connection. One member of our team traveled the country with her husband in an RV and never missed a beat! This truly remote (forever) culture is just one of the barriers we’re knocking down when it comes to fundraising, and Google Workspace helps us get that work done.
