In 2008, Joy Eakins founded what would later become known as Cornerstone Data. With a multi-disciplinary background in mathematics, computer science and theological studies, Joy was uniquely positioned to view data science in light of the people and organizations that produced it. The company was created to provide such a bridge. Joy honed her programming, database and analytical skills at Milliman, ICB Consulting, Bell Labs/Lucent Technologies and Avaya.

Joy is a champion of education, serving on the Wichita School Board from 2013 to 2018. She was recently education chair of FlagshipKansas.Tech, an organization promoting Kansas’ technology Industry. She has served as a Chamber Board member since 2016 and is the current Board Chair.
