The Wichita Regional Chamber of Commerce is partnering with Riverfest in several fun ways this year to help amplify nine days of activities, contests, shows, food and cultural experiences that you can’t find anywhere else. This partnership plays a big role in the Chamber's Quality of Life strategic initiatives and our efforts to celebrate community pride.
Opening Day Ribbon Cutting, May 31 | We will celebrate the official opening of Riverfest with a ribbon cutting over the noon hour on Friday, May 31. It will take place on the Century II outdoor stage right next to the food court. Speakers will include John Rolfe, Chamber President and CEO, Nancy Duling, Riverfest President and Mark Koch, 2024 Admiral Windwagon Smith.
Sundown Parade, May 31 | Chamber staff will walk in the Sundown Parade highlighting our "Keepers on Parade" community art project. Keepers on Parade was established in 2015 to promote Wichita pride with 10-foot tall, painted replicas of the iconic Keeper of the Plains. Each is painted by a local artist in collaboration with a community sponsor and the Blackbear Bosin Family Foundation.
Networking at Noon, June 4 | Open to the business community, this Networking at Noon is a great way to make connections while enjoying the tasty treats of the Riverfest food court. We will have Chamber tents set up in a designated spot. People can register on our website for free or they can register for $15 and will be given $15 in food court tickets. This option saves them from standing in line to purchase tickets the day of the event.
Intern ICT Summer Kickoff, June 4 | Summer interns and young professionals will get a fantastic view of Riverfest from the Century II balcony on Tuesday night. A great kickoff to a summer full of inter-specific immersion into Wichita.
Kids Corner | During Riverfest, swing by the Kids Corner and grab a Wichita Flag coloring sheet. When the little artists post their artwork with the hashtags #wichitaflag or #ILoveWichita, we’ll be able to share the designs on @WichitaFlag social media accounts.
Official Button Seller | Swing by the Chamber to purchase adult and kids buttons for Riverfest. Office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Adults are $20 and kids are $10. Cash only.
