Wichita Regional Chamber PAC 2024 Primary Election Endorsements
Note: These are all Republican Primaries.
Kansas House of Representatives
Williams has been a reliable Member for the Chamber on business issues and is an active and productive member of the Commerce Committee. She earns the WRCPAC endorsement for another term.
Incumbent Maughan is not actively campaigning as he works to deal with some personal challenges. Former Rep. Huebert and active Chamber member McCurry are both good choices for the voters to consider. The WRCPAC endorses both Huebert and McCurry.
Sweeney has been working in Topeka and understands what it takes to be a successful policymaker. His experience as a sergeant leading soldiers in combat demonstrates his leadership skills. The WRCPAC endorses Sweeney.
Ward’s business experience in both the corporate and small business sectors makes her the best choice to replace retiring Rep. Landwehr. The WRCPAC endorses Ward.
Kansas Senate
Moore had a dismal voting record with the Chamber as a House Rep. before he was defeated. Blasi has been extremely reliable on business and tax issues and has been a go to policymaker for the Chamber. The WRCPAC endorses Blasi.
Blew has been a go-to Member from Western Kansas for the Chamber as a House Member. The Chamber and business as a whole would benefit immensely with Blew in the Kansas Senate. The WRCPAC endorses Blew.
Fee’s very successful background in business along with his even keeled approach makes him the best choice in this race. The WRCPAC endorses Fee.
Sedgwick County Commission
In the republican primary race for the Sedgwick County Commission’s third district voters would be well served by either Stephanie Wise or Greg Ferris. Both candidates have deep ties to the Wichita business community and have demonstrated their commitment to supporting public policy that would grow jobs and the region's overall economy. Therefore, the WRCPAC endorses both Ferris and Wise.
