The Wichita Regional Chamber of Commerce proudly announces the 2024 class of its Leadership Wichita program, featuring thirty-three dynamic leaders ready to make a significant impact in their community.
Leadership Wichita is not just a program - it's an immersive experience offering unparalleled insights into local government, economic development, education and public safety.
Participants will dive headfirst into a series of hands-on activities, including serving as a principal for a day, riding along with police officers, engaging in firearm simulations and interacting with Wichita City Council Members, Sedgwick County Commissioners, prominent business leaders, media, economists, and more.
“This program not only cultivates personal and professional growth but also strengthens the very fabric of our community by promoting collaboration, innovation and inclusive leadership,” said John Rolfe, Chamber President and CEO and former Leadership Wichita graduate. “Leadership Wichita attracts visionary individuals who are ready to tackle the challenges of tomorrow.”
Each participant was chosen from a pool of 200 highly competitive nominees. The Board of Trustees placed a strong emphasis on diversity, recognizing the importance of including leaders from various backgrounds, industries and perspectives.
Since its inception in 1983, Leadership Wichita has graduated more than 1,000 leaders from various sectors, including business, community, government and military. These graduates have emerged as stronger leaders, committed to making a difference in Wichita and beyond.
