Speaker Proposal Form

Note: Applications for speakers and hosts will be periodically pulled as planning progresses throughout the year.

The Wichita Regional Chamber of Commerce and W - A Community of Young Professionals regularly needs speakers for various events and programs. Members who are interested in the opportunity to share leading-edge ideas, inspire enlightening discussions and convey the fundamentals for growing business may submit a Speaker Proposal Form. Members may submit a proposal for multiple topics or programs. Opportunities vary in type of event and program, time of day and attendance size. Attendees may include local business professionals, as well as civic and community leaders.

Please keep in mind that this is not a promotional pitch for presenters, but an opportunity to showcase your particular area of expertise.

Process
The RFP process serves to identify potential speakers for Chamber and W events and programs. You will receive an email confirming receipt of your proposal. Submission of a proposal does not constitute an agreement by The Chamber or W - A Community of Young Professionals to utilize you as a speaker. Topics and speakers are selected based on member surveys, success of past events, and timeliness and relevance of topics to the overall business community. Chamber and W staff and event planning committees will contact speakers when applicable opportunities become available.

Preference is given to individuals who represent an organization or business who is a Chamber member in good standing.

Speaker responsibilities may include

  • Have competencies in high-quality, educational presentations and/or workshop and group activity facilitation tailored to specific target audience
  • Provide practical learning/tips that audience members can employ in their business
  • Arrive to presentation at least 15-minutes early to check technology setup and room layout
  • Provide an opportunity to respond to questions and network with attendees post-event
  • Coordinate with Chamber or W staff regarding any special equipment or speaker needs
  • Ensure the session is not perceived as an infomercial
