What started as a dream for Lee and Kathy Hotchkiss has turned into a multi-generational business that has had an impact beyond anything they could've ever dreamed of. They started with Little Caesars in San Antonio, opening and operating restaurants across the city. 42 years later, in 2026, the third generation stepped into the business hoping to steward it well. Dave's Hot Chicken in Wichita is the culmination of that faithfulness from Lee, Kathy, Jason and John Hotchkiss, and Paul Gorman. Here in Kansas, Pierce Gorman and John Hotchkiss co-lead the operation as Owner/Operators, carrying forward a conviction that's been part of this family's business since the beginning: a restaurant should do more than serve food. It should serve the people who work in it and the community that it's in. That means building real career paths for our team and giving back to our community. Our mission is to create innumerable opportunities for our team and partners, and we do that by opening and operating great restaurants. We are grateful to now call Wichita our home.
