Bank of America announces a $50,000 grant for the new Prairie Plantings Garden at Exploration Place, Wichita’s beloved science and discovery center. This unique garden will be part of the new destination playscape, a vibrant area designed to offer educational and recreational experiences for visitors of all ages.
The Prairie Plantings Garden, which will be adjacent to the popular zip line and the Foggy Flint Hills play area, will showcase a carefully curated collection of native plants. The garden’s design highlights the rich diversity of the region’s flora, with an emphasis on species that thrive in Kansas’ distinctive climate and ecosystem. Visitors will be able to explore the seasonal changes and beauty of these plants while learning about their vital role in the environment.
