A W Young Professional's Impact Action Team Event

Looking for a volunteer opportunity? We’re inviting young professionals (YPs) to come together for a special day of service, connection, and community impact. Spend the day giving back alongside fellow YPs as we partner with local nonprofits to meet needs across Wichita.

Let’s show what’s possible when YPs roll up their sleeves and serve together.

We are volunteering at Open Door's food pantry, followed by a social at Hopping Gnome Brewing with the Connect Team.

Open Door's Mission: "Provide for basic human needs. Promote positive life changes. Restore hope and protect dignity."

Originally called Urban Ministries, United Methodist Open Door (Open Door) has been serving the community for 59 years, since 1965. We provide 5 community programs in Wichita/Sedgwick County and through our senior food program we serve a total of 11 surrounding counties. Our Food Distribution pantry is the largest in Wichita, and our Homeless Resource and Referral center is the largest homeless day shelter.
